Stony Point Cabins, L.L.C. is a family owned business in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. Together, our family owns five cabins, two of which can be rented from May-October.
Places to visit and things to do:
Fayette Historic State Park and Harbor
Fayette Historic State Park is about 34 minutes from the cabin. Its 711 acre park combines nature and history. The park features a historic townsite, harbor slips, a boat launch, a beach and five miles of hiking and cross-country skiing trails with breathtaking views from the limestone cliffs that surround the harbor.
Big Springs “Kitch-iti-kipi”
Big Springs is about 34 minutes from the cabin. Palms Book State Park is north on M-149, 12 miles from Manistique. Kitch-iti-kipi is Michigan’s largest spring. It is 200’ in diameter, 42′ deep and delivers 16,000 gallons of crystal clear water per minute. You can ride the raft for a beautiful view across the spring. A must see!
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
Pictured Rocks is on Lake Superior, about an hour and 23 minutes from the cabin. It offers the opportunity to explore miles of pristine beaches, hike nearly 100 miles of trails, view towering sandstone cliffs, and experience the serenity of northern woodlands.
Fish on Big Bay de Noc
Big Bay de Noc and Little Bay de Noc have been noted by walleye anglers as two of the best places in the U.P. to reel in that trophy-sized walleye. Big Bay de Noc is also known for its bass, perch and northern pike. Head to Little Bay de Noc, which is not too far, for more outstanding fishing opportunities.
Stonington Peninsula
Stonington Peninsula is located in Delta County. It is about 35 miles from the cabin. Take the peaceful County Rd. 513 to the furthest southern tip ending at The Peninsula Point Lighthouse. Explore the lighthouse while catching a glimpse of the Monarch butterflies. They gather along the coast of Lake Michigan for their annual migration journey. This migration takes place in late summer and early fall and continues to be one of the most amazing natural occurrences as Monarch butterflies make their journey to Mexico for the winter.

Policies and FAQ
Policies and Guidelines:
- Check-in is at 4 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m.
- No smoking in the cabin.
- No parties or events.
- We have a 6 person maximum per cabin.
- No sleeping tents, trailers, campers or motorhomes allowed on the property (boats and boat trailers are ok).
- Please pick up all trash and dispose of garbage properly.
- No ATV’s allowed on the property.
- Keep fires contained in the fire pit, windy evenings pose risks of fires burning out of control.
- No fireworks or shooting of firearms on the property.
- Dogs need to be on a leash at all times.

- Air Conditioning: No
- Boats: Boats are NOT provided at this cabin. However, there is enough parking to bring your own and launch it at the nearby boat launch in Nahma or Garden.
- Cell phone service: Cell phone service is spotty.
- Dock: Not onsite
- Fire-pit: Yes
- Firewood: Yes, included
- Fishing: Yes, the Nahma DNR boat launch is a 1/4 mile up the road where you could launch your boat and fish on Big Bay de Noc. There are other local spots available as well.
- Fishing License: You can purchase your fishing license at the Shell Gas Station/Mini-Mart in Garden.
- Grill: Yes, charcoal; bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid.
- Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. We have basic sheets, pillows, pillow cases and blankets.
- Parking: Two cars are able to park right next to the cabin. It could also host a truck/trailer combo.
- Campers/Motorhomes: No campers, trailers, sleeping tents, or motorhomes allowed on the property.
- Pets: One dog under 20 lbs. is allowed onsite. We currently charge a $100.00 pet fee. No pets allowed in cabin 5.
- Privacy: There are 4 other cabins nearby.
- Towels: Yes, we provide towels, but bring your own beach towels.
- Washer and dryer: No, the nearest laundromat is in Manistique.
- WiFi/Internet: Yes; can be intermittent depending on weather.
